So, for those who don't live in America, I've been waiting for the English translation of Emerald Green for quite some time. Although it came out in October, I didn't get to read it until now. The best selling/most popular English books have been releasing themselves around the same time as each other, and Its a hassle to keep up with all the books and different characters and otp's etc. I had just started House of Hades as Emerald Green came out, then after that, I just HAD to read Allegiant because I had heard rumors that it was a murderous ending to the Divergent Trilogy. Truth be told, it's my least favorite book in the world. Now I love the series to DEATH but Allegiant made me so sad and depressed I just cant stand it. Its horrible. But I suppose there really was no other choice for the ending. The series was far too stern and intense for it to be a happy ending with them walking off into the sunset. I understand Veronica's decision, but that doesn't mean I'm not burned by it. 3rd degree burn in fact.
But I let myself recover from the crying and misery and eating, and I got myself Emerald Green.
Wow. What a roller coaster, this one! I shouldn't give any spoilers for others that haven't read it yet, but I was going from happy to "oh no!" in every page. Well done, I have to say! It was such an amazing series!! and Xemerius just topped everything off! I loved his commentary throughout the whole book, and I'm really gonna miss that little rascal...
And Gwen and Gideon! They are THE cutest couple. I want to draw them all day long!
I'm in such a happy mood. That ending set me straight and I feel a lot happier, and better about Allegiant.
